The annual Vinde Meninos Christmas party was a huge success! There were more than 200 people in attendance, and all the children and teens who are a part of Vinde Meninos were able to participate. Nearly all the children were able to bring at least one parent to the party. Having hosted a Christmas party for several years now, we were excited to see that the number of attending parents continues to increase. This is an indicator that our vision is being fulfilled—families are being strengthened through the message of the Gospel and Jesus Christ! Not only have the lives of the children been impacted through our ministry, but their entire families have been changed as well.
Through the generous support of our donors, we were able to offer each family a free dinner and a food basket with numerous essential items as well as give a special Christmas gift to each child!
Right before dinner, we had a choir from a local church sing several Christmas songs. Following this, Jose De Lucia—the founder of Vinde Meninos—presented a powerful evangelistic message centered around the Christmas story. The life-transforming hope found only in Jesus Christ was clearly proclaimed.
We are very thankful for everyone who contributed and made it possible for us to once again show these families the love of Christ through our Christmas party!
