OUR STRATEGY IN MISSIONS

Spiritual

The focus of every mission trip with Moyo Missions is to demonstrate the compassionate love of Jesus to those with the greatest physical and spiritual needs. Through intentional discipleship, Gospel conversations, and evangelism, each team member will have the opportunity to help share the Good News and impact people for Christ.

Team members will have the unique opportunity to help meet the physical needs of our community. Engaging in events such as mosquito net distribution or medical outreach has a two-fold impact as people receive help for their physical needs and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Sponsors can meet their sponsored child and deliver gifts that will assist their child with practical, daily needs.

Educational

Mission teams will invest in the education of children in Uganda as they serve in the Village of Eden Schools and visit other local schools. In Brazil, teams work with children every day to further education through homework assistance, music practice, and English. Our desire is not only to educate children on an academic level but also in areas such as hygiene and nutrition.

The invitation to go on a short-term mission trip to Uganda was presented to me from Isaiah 6:8: "And I hear the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?'" I had the excuses. My passport had long expired, and it had been about 17 years since I left behind my flight attendant career. I'd even given away my heavy-duty travel luggage. But God is so faithful! He met my every concern. The highlight of the trip for me was getting to personally meet and pray with my sponsored children and their families in their villages. We were each encouraged as we saw the Lord at work. And I'll never forget the van ride with the team to visit our sponsored children along with a hen, a rooster, a turkey, and a goat!
