-
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY SPONSORED CHILD MOVES OR GRADUATES?As we work in some of the most vulnerable communities in the world, some children in our sponsorship regions face daily difficulties that result in them having to leave the sponsorship program. There are times when children move away, begin working, or leave without notice. If this happens, we will contact you to inform you about your child’s situation and select another child for you to sponsor. Should your sponsored child complete their schooling and finish our sponsorship program, we hope you will continue working with us and sponsor another child.
-
HOW WILL MY DONATIONS BE USED?Donations are never given directly to a sponsored child or their family. Your donations will be used to facilitate the work we do in your child’s community. From paying for school tuition and uniforms to providing food for daily meals to materials for discipleship, your sponsorship donations make investing in your child and their family possible. We desire to be good stewards of the resources God has given us, and we aim to do that in a way that will have the greatest impact on your sponsored child, their family, and community.
-
HOW IS CHILD SPONSORSHIP THROUGH MOYO MISSIONS DIFFERENT?At Moyo Missions, we want Child Sponsorship to be focused on Biblical discipleship and to be personal for both the sponsor and the child. We believe the greatest impact we could have on a child is for them to come to know Jesus as their Savior and choose to live for Him. Discipleship drives everything we do as we consider the needs of our sponsorship regions. We would love for every sponsor to be able to meet their child and have a personal relationship with them, but we know travel to Uganda or Brazil may not be possible for everyone. As a result, we make it our goal to keep sponsorship personal through letters, pictures, and regular updates from children to their sponsors.
-
HOW DOES SPONSORSHIP MAKE AN IMPACT ON SPIRITUAL NEEDS?Biblical discipleship is at the core of our sponsorship program. In Brazil, daily devotionals and one-on-one discipleship enable us to invest in the hearts of children there. In Uganda, regular Bible classes and intentionality in sharing the Gospel open the doors for children to grow in their relationship with Christ.
-
HOW LONG WILL MY SPONSORSHIP LAST?Every child and their sponsorship are different. We encourage all the children in our program to continue in school as long as possible. Our desire is for them to finish high school and pursue a technical program, college, or seminary program if possible. The pathway for every child is different, but we hope to encourage our sponsored children to advance their education while following God’s plan for their lives. We encourage sponsors to support their child throughout their entire time in our program.
-
HOW MUCH FUNDING GOES DIRECTLY TOWARDS THE PROGRAM?We desire to be good stewards of our resources and keep our administrative costs low. This allows your donations to have a greater impact. Approximately 85% of the funding we receive goes directly toward ministry programs.
