STORIES

Bigger Than Football

We want to say a huge thank you to the Cherokee Bluff High School Football team! This summer they chose to sponsor a child living in Uganda. This video shares the story of Avery Jones, a summer intern for Helping Hands, meeting Moris. Moris is 12 years old and attends the Village of Eden Christian Primary School in Uganda. Avery is the daughter of Head Football Coach Tommy Jones. Coach Jones is intentional about helping athletes reach their full potential on and off the football field. He is often heard teaching the boys that life is “Bigger than Football” and is showing this in a practical way through their sponsorship of Moris. Sponsoring a child through Helping Hands Foreign Missions not only makes a difference in the life of the child, but also in the life of the person sponsoring!
