A Bright Future Ahead
Erika and her brother Eduardo live with their parents in a poverty-stricken area of Atibaia, Brazil. They attend Vinde Meninos faithfully each week to learn about God, receive a meal, and further their education. Erika is a dedicated 4th-grade student and loves to learn! She loves seeing her friends and having time to play at Vinde.
Recently, Erika has understood more about her need for Christ as a Savior. Although she has been coming to Vinde Meninos for some time, where she learns about God’s love, Erika has only just begun to apply what she is learning to her own life. Each day during discipleship, she learns more about Jesus and what it means to follow Him! Erika loves to help our leaders teach the younger girls about the Lord.
This past summer, while a mission team from Florida was serving at Vinde Meninos, one couple decided to sponsor Erika! Through Child Sponsorship, she can continue learning how to be a disciple of Christ, receiving practical help for everyday needs, and advancing her education. We are excited to see how the Lord will use Erika to bring glory to Him in the future!
